Since 1999, Dawn Lelakowski, owner of The Church Street Diner, has grown the restaurant into a Carthage staple with a special emphasis on community and supporting other local businesses.
For over two decades, real NYS maple syrup is supplied by Mosier’s Maple Syrup, Denmark, eggs are always local as well as produce, (depending on the season) provided by Blue Mountain Spring Water, Watertown, potatoes are supplied by Lelakowski’s Farm, Pompey, when available too (Dawn’s family’s farm!). With these partnerships and great cooking, this little diner is able to serve over 35,000 meals annually!
When dining at The Church Street Diner, you get a personal, hometown feel at an establishment that’s been a staple of the Carthage community for two and a half decades. “Where you’re never too late for breakfast, and never too early for lunch!”
"A true gem in Carthage. The ladies run a tight ship with friendly service and delicious meals. You can get breakfast or lunch at any time which is great for my family as I'm a breakfast fan and my wife and son are more lunch fans. The burger patty melt is an outstanding dish!"
